Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Kansas City is seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on company trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $29-$36 per hour, with additional pay based on experience, certifications and skill level.

The role offers a 3pm-11:30pm shift, Monday through Friday, and eligibility for benefits after the probation period. ASE testing is encouraged with a $.25 bump per T Series cert.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel trucks and fleet maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose issues and troubleshoot to repair defective components.
• Strong understanding of truck electrical and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $29-$36/hr
More pay available based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL.
Shift: 3pm-1130pm M-F.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
