Position Description Job Title: Diesel Mechanic, Road Call Reports To: Operations Manager Scope: This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motor coaches and other commercial vehicles. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors including job related skills, experience, applicable education or training and other relevant factors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Diesel Mechanic inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcoaches, commercial and non-commercial vehicles and other vehicles Diesel Mechanic understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures Diesel Mechanic compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including EPA, OSHA, and DOT Diesel Mechanic specific duties and responsibilities are determined by Individual Service Technician training, certification, knowledge, skill, and experience Diesel Mechanic will perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Requires good organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames Employee must possess the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities Experience with Interior Component repair/replacement Audio/Video knowledge recommended not required Class B CDL with passenger endorsement is a plus Satisfactory driving record Skills: Must be a self-starter and possess a positive attitude Must have a good attendance Must be willing to travel, with possible work on the weekends/overtime Physical Demands: Ability to move items weighing at least 50 pounds The person in this position needs to move constantly for extended periods of time (80-100% of shift) Ability to work in and outdoors for extended periods of time This job description is subject to change at any time.
