Job summary

TAD PGS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers and heavy equipment in the Iowa City area. You will work independently to keep equipment running safely and minimize downtime.

Requirements include 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience, strong mechanical/hydraulic skills, welding ability, and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred). Military-connected talent encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Experience with diesel trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs.
• Mechanical, hydraulic, and welding experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Well-established, family-owned company in the building materials industry with multiple locations across the country - Seeking an experienced Diesel Technician who can work independently, diagnose problems, and keep trucks and heavy equipment running safely while reducing equipment downtime.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

• Service loaders, skid steers, forklifts, concrete mixers, and other equipment.

• Perform PMs, diagnostics, troubleshooting (and occasional welding).

• Be able to work independently and respond to occasional roadside repair needs.

  Basic Hiring Criteria:

• At least 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience.

• Strong experience with trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs.

• Mechanical, hydraulic, and welding experience.

• Valid driver's license and good driving record. CDL preferred.
