Job summary

Kirkpatrick Concrete is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join the KCI Central division in Birmingham, Alabama.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain diesel commercial vehicles, perform routine maintenance, diagnose engines, and respond to service calls, including after-hours on-call. Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience required. Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle systems. Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair engines and mechanical components on diesel trucks.
• Perform routine maintenance including lube, oil, and filter changes.
• Repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
• Replace parts ranging from small components to major assemblies.
• Respond to service calls for disabled trucks, including potential after-hours/on-call situations.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure equipment is safe and compliant.
• Promote and follow all company safety policies and procedures.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Diesel Mechanicis responsible forthe inspection, repair, and maintenance of diesel commercial vehicles and related systems to ensure safe and reliable fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety – Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Perform routine maintenance including lube, oil, and filter changes
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair engines and mechanical components on diesel trucks

Physical Requirements
