Job summary

US Tech Force is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to repair and maintain trucks to factory and industry standards. You will run diagnostics, perform preventive maintenance, and work with teammates to meet company goals.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, and repair equipment, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. CDL preferred; valid license required.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of a diesel engine and its electrical system.
  • Proficient with maintenance tools and repair equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and computer systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks (inspections, tires, oil changes).
  • Maintain inventory and shop cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with the team to diagnose and plan repairs.
  • Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks.
  • Keep accurate repair records.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle issues and plan efficient repairs.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance per schedule and manufacturer specs.
  • Maintain service vehicle records and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with technicians to complete repairs on time.
  • Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and diagnostics.

The successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Diesel Mechanic Description of role:


  • Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine

  • Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics

  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes

  • Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop

  • Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs

  • Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles

  • Minimum 1 year of auto mechanical experience — car/truck heavy equipment

  • Valid Drivers License (CDL strongly preferred)

  • Own hand tools preferred
