Job summary

A-1 Industries in Fort Pierce, FL is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to support fleet and facility equipment, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting in line with safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CDL Class A, fleet maintenance experience, and ability to operate CMMS and power tools. Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional nights/weekends.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Fleet maintenance or lube technician experience required.
Valid Class A CDL required.

Responsibilities

Support diesel mechanics in daily activities.
Move lumber waste trucks within the facility or to a vendor facility.
Transport A-1 vehicles to repair shop.
Drive the company pickup truck for company requirements.
Complete purchases and pickups from local suppliers within applicable limitations.
Work with operations and other technicians to support the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
Utilize CMMS to understand workload and record actions (e.g., work orders, asset/labor history, inventory usage).
Communicate verbally and/or in writing with customers, suppliers, and associates.
Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment, as trained and authorized.
Perform or assist with preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, golf carts, and company vehicles (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, electronic and electrical equipment) according to procedures.
