Job summary

Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) at Coca-Cola Consolidated / Red Classic Transit will repair and maintain diesel-powered equipment, including material handling and trailers, with supervision as needed. You will mentor junior technicians and support management in maintenance activities.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, DOT brake certification, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate. Flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge acquired through 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, mechanical diagnostics and repair of customer vehicles and equipment.
• Repair drive chain components and automatic brake systems at an intermediate level.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and report discrepancies to maintenance management.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse.
• Work in the maintenance software system to record data and ensure DOT compliance.
• Mentor Vehicle Technicians C as needed and assist with other duties as assigned.
