Job summary

Red Classic is seeking a Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) to repair and maintain customer vehicles and diesel-powered equipment, including material handling and trailers. The role requires independent work with limited supervision and mentoring for Technician C's as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic welding and cutting torch operation skills.
• Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills.
• Understanding of tire inflation systems.
• Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires.
• Basic diagnostic tool skills.
• Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks.
• Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards.
• Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers.
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions; tools/equipment/materials used.
• Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors.
• Flexible schedule and variable start/end times, including weekends/holidays.
• Basic computer skills.
• Each technician provides their own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, mechanical diagnostic and repair on customer vehicles and equipment.
• Repair including drive chain components and automatic brake systems at an intermediate level.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
• Use maintenance software to record data, ensure DOT compliance, and manage return orders.
• Mentor Vehicle Technicians C as needed; assist with other duties.
