Job summary

Red Classic in Tennessee is seeking a Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) to repair and maintain customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers and diesel-powered gear. You will work independently with limited supervision and mentor newer technicians as needed.

The role requires basic welding, electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills, and the ability to follow DOT rules. You must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and a DOT Brake

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• DOT Brake Inspection certification.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, mechanical diagnostic and repair work on customer vehicles and equipment including material handling and trailers.
• Repair drive chains and automatic brake systems and related components at an intermediate level.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and report discrepancies to management.
• Keep work area clean and safe; follow safety policies diligently.
• Operate maintenance software to record data, monitor DOT compliance, and manage return orders.
• Mentor Vehicle Technicians C and assist as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
