Job summary

Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our diesel technician team in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel vehicles and equipment. This role combines hands-on maintenance with strong leadership to ensure equipment operates reliably and on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, experience supervising mechanics, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel technician.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a mechanics team.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and compliance with 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Assists with scheduling employees for the department and coaches mechanics.
• Monitors accident reports to plan repairs and estimate costs/time.
• Sets maintenance priorities based on parts availability and operations.
• Ensures vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and operating.
• Manages inventory in absence of Parts staff and advises on repairs.
• Implements safety policies and maintains a safe work environment.
• Ensures property and facilities are clean and organized.
• Other duties as required.
