Diesel Maintenance Apprentice

Job Overview

The Apprenticeship Program is a targeted 12-month program committed to cultivating and developing future Technicians and Mechanics. It includes on-the-job training, classroom learning, mentorship, and other learning avenues. The goal is to inspire a purpose-driven career, with the apprentice learning preventive maintenance and repair on various equipment.

This role is part of a training program that combines on-the-job and classroom training, preparing teammates to progress into a full-time mechanic/technician role based on performance and business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates and reports on learning objectives, collaborating with peers and mentors, and achieving key milestones.
• Provides high-quality service to internal and external customers, maintaining communication with leaders and coaches.
• Travels within the territory to learn from different leaders and experienced technicians.
• Demonstrates business acumen and understanding of milestones through assessments and feedback.
• Completes coursework and maintains performance standards in classroom and on the job.
• Performs electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repairs under mentorship, including material handling, trailers, and diesel equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Dependable, trustworthy, self-starter with good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Needs to complete CDL A by the end of the 1-year program.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
