Job summary

Lester Brothers Excavation, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Lube Technician to help maintain our fleet of diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment. This hands-on position focuses on preventive maintenance, lubrication, and routine inspections to keep our fleet ready for work.

It is a good fit for someone with basic mechanical skills who takes pride in thorough, dependable work. You will perform oil changes, grease components, and maintain detailed service records as you assist diesel

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and shop equipment.
• Experience with oil changes, lubrication, truck maintenance, agricultural equipment, or heavy equipment required.
• Ability to follow service instructions, work safely, and complete accurate maintenance records.
• Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance work, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and handling tools and supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for assigned driving duties. Chauffeur's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and replace oil, fuel, air, and other service filters.
• Grease trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer instructions.
• Check fluid levels, service intervals, tires, belts, hoses, lights, and other visible components; report leaks, wear, and damage.
• Record services completed, mileage or equipment hours, parts used, and issues requiring follow-up.
• Assist diesel technicians with basic maintenance and repairs within your training and experience.
• Keep the shop, tools, service supplies, and work areas clean and organized; handle used oil and other fluids properly.
