Job summary

Butler Machinery is seeking a Diesel Lube Technician in Minot, ND to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and systems while developing skills in diesel technology. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous learning in a state-of-the-art training environment.

You will work independently or with a high-performing team, following safety protocols and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical, and powertrain components.
  • Overtime opportunities when workload requires (over 8 hours/day paid at 1.5x).
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and work both independently and on a team.
  • Engage in lifelong learning to stay current with industry standards.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Occasional travel to other Butler locations and customer sites.

Full-Time Technician Pay Scale: $32.73 - $53.03/hr DOE. (+ $2.00 Field Pay)

Responsibilities of a Diesel Lube Technician
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry. For example: Hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.
  • Opportunity for overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)
  • Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work independently and as part of a high performing team.
  • Committed to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards and product updates.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Opportunity to travel to other Butler and customer locations.Other duties as assigned.
