Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined and able to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Must develop teamwork and work with all levels of personnel to achieve train-handling objectives.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair locomotives following safety procedures and company policies.
• Diagnose locomotive mechanical, electrical and air brake issues and replace faulty components.
• Read schematics and use a multimeter (AC/DC) to troubleshoot systems.
• Perform regular maintenance including QMI inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Travel as required to support rail operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to keep locomotives safe and operative.
