Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service our local fleet. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on asphalt pavers, milling machines, motor graders, and other heavy equipment, diagnosing problems and performing repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment mechanics, diesel and hydraulics.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Includes Asphalt Pavers, Milling Machines, Motor Graders, etc.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical problems
• Welding and fabricating
• Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic adjustments and repairs on gasoline and diesel-powered equipment
• Communicate repairs clearly to Shop Foreman and document updates
