Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair on a range of company and rental equipment. The role requires reading technical manuals, performing inspections, and ensuring quality documentation of work performed.

Candidates must have experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, with a valid tool set and willingness to travel to job sites as needed. The position is outdoors and weather conditions vary.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Must have own assortment of tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of DOT inspections and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on all company equipment (rented and leased).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
• Read and apply information from technical manuals, schematics, and prints.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Assist with training of lower-level technicians as needed.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required.
• Keep service vehicle clean and professional; ensure safety practices are followed.
