Job summary

CoVolt Power AHV in Texas is seeking a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service and repair rental and owned equipment in varying outdoor conditions. You will perform DOT inspections, scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical components.

You must read manuals and schematics, maintain thorough work orders, and support training of junior technicians. Valid driver and field travel may be required depending on job sites.

Qualifications

• Must have proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform DOT inspections.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on company equipment including rented and leased.
• Repair heavy equipment and related hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Read and apply information from manuals, prints and schematics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on all company equipment, including rented and leased.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components and systems.
• Inspect and service hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Maintain and update work orders and documentation daily.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required.
