Ziegler Inc. in Minnesota is offering an internship program for students pursuing diesel, heavy equipment, and agricultural equipment mechanics.

As an Intern Technician, you will work with senior technicians to diagnose and repair engines and equipment in a shop setting. Starting wage is $21.00 per hour, with additional benefits such as a scholarship opportunity, mentorship, PPE and uniforms, tool insurance, and a safe, supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction, and/or agricultural equipment mechanics or related study
• Maintain good grades and obtain positive recommendations from instructors
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
• Own mechanic tool set
• This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement
• Ability to maintain safe and clean work environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines, construction or agriculture equipment in a shop environment
• Learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner
• Work with senior technicians to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment
