S&H Farm Supply, Inc. is seeking an experienced Hay Equipment Mechanic to service and repair hay equipment, tractors, and tillage machinery.

The role focuses on diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, with responsibilities spanning diagnostics, maintenance, and on-site field service. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain rotary cutters and various farm implements, read schematics, document work, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Requires previous experience as a diesel mechanic or technician.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair rotary cutters, hay and tillage equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on agricultural equipment (oil changes, filter changes, lubrication).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems on farm equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Communicate with team and customers regarding repairs and needs.
• Operate service vehicles for on-site and off-site repairs.
• Fabrication and welding as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
