Job summary

LionHeart Critical Power in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a skilled field technician to perform preventative maintenance on industrial generators, transfer switches and fire pump engines. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, communicate with clients and engineers, and participate in on-call rotations; must lift up to 130 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical or electrical trade.
• Solid hands-on knowledge of engines, motors, and electrical systems.
• Technical degree or certification (preferred but not required).
• Willingness and ability to lift 130 lbs and work long hours as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on industrial generators, transfer switches, and fire pump engines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Communicate directly with clients, chief engineers, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with the field service team and administrative staff.
• Load, unload, and transport heavy tools and equipment (up to 130 lbs).
• Drive and maneuver trailers in varied conditions.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency, after-hours, and weekend service.
• Attend company-paid continuing education and certifications.
