Job summary

Dean Fluor seeks a qualified Diesel Generator Technician to join a maintenance team at a state-of-the-art government data center. You will maintain and repair generator sets, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure 24/7 emergency availability while following health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include load tests, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Industrial diesel engine mechanic with at least 3 years of experience.
• In-depth understanding of diesel engine technology.
• Experience working with large industrial diesel engines and related equipment.
• Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience working with Caterpillar.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on large commercial and industrial diesel engines.
• Exceptional communication skills and team player mentality.
• Willing to work overtime as necessary to complete tasks.
• Must be a TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Run load bank tests on diesel generators
• Change filters, oil, coolant, and perform standard service on units
• Maintain equipment operation by completing inspections, preventive maintenance requirements, correcting deficiencies, keeping records, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Determine equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts and general troubleshooting
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules, install components, parts upgrades, correct deficiencies, maintain appearance and keep records of time by task
• Diagnose and repair any issues found during testing
• Assist with other duties as required
