Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a highly skilled Fuel System Core Diesel and SCR Technical Expert to lead diesel fuel system architecture across diesel engine programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in diesel fuel system design, development, or integration in automotive/heavy-duty.
• Deep knowledge of HPCR fuel injection systems, fuel pumps and injectors.
• Understanding of diesel emissions systems and interactions with fuel design.
• Knowledge of global diesel fuel quality standards and regulations.
• Proven track record of leading root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical expert for diesel fuel system components (SCR, injectors, filtration, low-pressure supply).
• Lead TechClub signoff process for all diesel programs through GPDS milestones.
• Maintain and update DFMEA and quality documents for Diesel and SCR systems.
• Define fuel system architecture and specifications for new engine programs.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of fuel system issues during development, validation and production.
• Collaborate with calibration engineers to optimize fuel injection strategies.
• Provide guidance on fuel system compatibility with alternative fuels.
• Interface with suppliers to evaluate, select, and develop components.
• Support DVP&T development and execution for fuel system components.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, CARB, and Euro standards.
• Conduct FMEA/DFMEA and reliability assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers within the fuel systems team.
• Represent Ford in industry forums and supplier reviews.
• Support cost reduction while maintaining performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams on production issues.
