Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Fueler Service Technician and seeking the right Fuel Island Attendant to join us at Ryder in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

  • Hourly Pay: $26.34 per hour
  • Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
  • Hours: Second Shift Tuesday-Thursday 2:00 pm-10:30 pm, Friday 12:00 pm-8:30 pm, Saturday 6:30 am-3:00 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two or more years of related work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills; ability to understand customer communication
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email; ability to read and understand codes and instructions; basic computer skills and data entry ability
  • High degree of thoroughness and dependability
  • Ability to:
    • Work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, holidays
    • Work at different locations
    • Build and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
    • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to operate and drive, with a self-driven attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • DOT safety regulated position
  • Safety sensitive position
  • Regulated service employee:
    • Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
    • Pass Ryder drug test
    • Pass DOT physical
    • Pass Ryder road test
    • Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers over the last three years
    • Note: Additional requirements may vary by location and account
Responsibilities
  • Fuel, wash, and detail vehicles
  • Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units per company policies; check tire pressure and oil; report issues to the shop
  • Record fuel activity and maintain fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation
  • Move heavy-duty vehicles
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs under supervision
  • Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards; perform facility and minor maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
