Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent full-time Fueler Service Technician at our Santa Fe Springs, CA location. We are seeking the right Fuel Island Attendant to join our team.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $26.34
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
• Hours: Second Shift - Tuesday-Thursday 2:00 pm-10:30 pm, Friday 12:00 pm-8:30 pm, Saturday 6:30 am-3:00 pm

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Two or more years of related work experience preferred
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Customer service skills and ability to understand customer communication
• Must be 18 or older
• Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, email; ability to read codes and instructions
• Dependable and thorough
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work at various locations and build professional relationships
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Self-driven in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Detail-oriented with good follow-up practices
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• DOT safety regulated and safety-sensitive position

Additional Requirements

• Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks

Responsibilities

• Fuel, wash, and detail vehicles
• Perform multi-point inspections and report issues
• Record fuel activity and maintain inventories
• Move heavy-duty vehicles
• Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as tire repairs
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards; perform facility and minor maintenance tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
