Job summary

Van-Hoekelen-Greenhouses, Inc. is seeking a skilled Forklift/Diesel Mechanic in Pennsylvania to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts, diesel engines, and heavy equipment. You will conduct on-site diagnostics, perform repairs to OEM standards, and ensure safe operation while meeting time guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, own tools, and strong safety and documentation habits. A customer-service mindset and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Diesel Service Technician or Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic preferred.
• Experience working with forklifts, heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, or related industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose vehicle and equipment problems based on complaints, inspections, and diagnostic testing.
• Perform repairs and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and factory standards.
• Meet or exceed standard repair time guidelines when possible.
• Communicate effectively to obtain required parts and materials.
• Road-test vehicles or equipment to verify repairs are completed properly and safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Document all work performed and account for replaced parts.
• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain professional relationships.
