Job summary

Feeser's Food Distributors in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our maintenance team. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and refrigeration equipment, with a focus on quality and reliability.

We offer a guaranteed 40-hour work week, overtime opportunities, and a modern fleet in a stable, family-owned environment. Pay ranges from $25 to $40 per hour based on experience, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• 5-10 years of experience preferred for higher pay range.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and diagnostics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL is preferred but not required.
• PA Inspection License is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, brake, suspension, and drivetrain systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic software and tools.
• Repair or replace components including axles, bearings, hubs, lighting systems, and air brake components.
• Perform trailer inspections and repairs.
• Install and repair liftgates, reefer units, ramps, and aftermarket equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Follow DOT and company safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and ask for assistance when needed.
