Job summary

Bulk Environmental & Industrial is seeking a General Technician in Smyrna, GA to inspect, diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, trailers, and other machines. The role focuses on diagnosing issues, replacing engine or transmission components, and testing to ensure proper function.

You will perform repairs on fleet diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions, handle hydraulic systems, and coordinate with shop leadership for parts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with diesel engines.
• Experience with modern diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions.
• Experience with hydraulic systems. Heavy equipment, dump, and walking floor systems.
• Own basic tools. Heavier tools provided by the company.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and software is a plus (JPRO, DAVIE4, CUMMINGS INSITE, SERVICE RANGER).
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Follow safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to work a changing schedule and field work.

Responsibilities

• Repair diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions on the company fleet.
• Repair air brake systems, differentials, and axles on the fleet.
• Repair hydraulic systems on heavy equipment and wet kits on trailers.
• Coordinate repair details and parts requests with shop leadership.
• Conduct vehicle inspections during repairs.
• Complete repairs efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and procedures.
