Job summary
GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Alpine, Alabama. The role involves safely operating and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks and related equipment, ensuring daily operational readiness.
Starting pay ranges from $23 to $32 per hour, based on experience and certifications, with a 10am-8pm shift and overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and 401(k) after 6 months.
Qualifications
- Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Willingness to work 10am-8pm shift with overtime after 40 hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
