Job summary

STA Family of Companies in Gasport, NY, seeks a Fleet Technician A/B to perform engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs on large commercial vehicles, and to conduct thorough preventive maintenance inspections and roadside service when required. The role requires accreditation from a school or certification program, proven experience, and the ability to pass a background check.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours with overtime possible; on-call and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

1+ year of diesel mechanic experience.
Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.
Complete all training requirements.
Pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections.
Complete maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
Perform unscheduled maintenance as directed by supervisor.
Repair complex engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust systems with technical drawings and specs.
Provide emergency roadside services as needed.
Diagnose defects and document repairs on work orders.
Maintain tools and workspace in neat, orderly condition.
May require on-call, extended hours, or weekend work; may drive vans/buses for road tests.
