Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast in Providence, RI seeks a Fleet Technician to perform repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, forklifts and related equipment. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and complete repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, handle paperwork, and maintain a safe, organized shop.

Must have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of auto/mechanical repair experience; Class A CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in auto mechanics and heavy equipment repair.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Driving record that meets company policy required.
• Must be able to supply automotive hand tools.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications.
• Demonstrated automotive, mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of methods, equipment and techniques used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Must have the ability to occasionally lift, push and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach.

Compensation: $34.00–$36.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday, 1:30 PM - 9:00 PM; Friday 12:30 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday, 5:00 AM–12:30 PM

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company MVR guidelines
1+ year of experience working with diesel or heavy-duty engines
Ability to provide personal hand tools for daily work

Job Description

The Fleet Technician is responsible for performing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles to include diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, forklifts and automobiles. The Fleet Technician is tasked with maintaining fleet according to DOT and other regulatory requirements to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of all company vehicles and equipment.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of experience in auto mechanics and heavy equipment repair required
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred
• Driving record that meets company policy required
• Must be able to supply automotive hand tools
• Basic proficiency with computer applications
