Job summary

DMT Trucking, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our heavy‑duty diesel fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to repair needs, and ensure all equipment operates safely and in compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.

You will work at our Scottsboro, AL facility, coordinating with supervisors and drivers, documenting work orders, and upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Perform PMI and routine maintenance including oil changes and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using computer diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and/or replace malfunctioning components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension.
• Ensure vehicles meet DOT inspection standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.
• Communicate repair plans with supervisors, team members, and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and routine maintenance, including oil changes, checking fluid levels, and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using computer diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and/or replace malfunctioning components or parts, including engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering, and suspension.
• Conduct safety checks and perform all necessary repairs to ensure roadworthiness and DOT compliance.
• Communicate with supervisors and drivers about repair plans and vehicle status.
• Complete work orders and maintain detailed maintenance records.
