Job summary

Bulk Environmental & Industrial in Fort Payne, AL is seeking a General Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and machines, including trucks, heavy equipment and trailers. You will run diagnostic tests, replace engines or transmissions and test the repairs to ensure the issue is resolved.

The role requires at least 1 year of diesel engine experience, familiarity with DPF systems and automatic transmissions, plus the use of diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience with diesel engines is required.
• Experience with modern diesel engines, DPF systems and automatic transmissions is preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic systems on heavy equipment and trailers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions.
• Repair air brake systems, differentials, and axles on the fleet.
• Work with hydraulics and trailer wet kits on fleet equipment.
• Communicate with shop leadership for repair details and parts requests.
• Conduct complete vehicle inspections during repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow OSHA rules.
