Clean Harbors in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join our safety-focused team. You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on the company fleet.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience on heavy-duty trucks, DOT inspections, and the ability to provide your own basic tools. We offer competitive wages and strong benefits, with growth opportunities within the fleet maintenance division.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Move equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Assure that equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
