Job summary

Clean Harbors in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join our safety-conscious fleet team. This role focuses on repairs and preventive maintenance for company-owned vehicles and equipment.

You will work in a hands-on environment, perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and inspections, and support drivers with vehicle issues. A HS diploma and 1+ year experience with heavy trucks, plus DOT inspection know-how, are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 1+ years prior experience on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
• Ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on company-owned fleet.
• Move equipment safely on yard and assist drivers with vehicle issues.
• Complete daily checklists and ensure equipment is parked/secured per DOT.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
