Job summary

Clean Harbors in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair the company fleet with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires working on heavy-duty trucks, completing preventative maintenance, and performing DOT inspections. Candidates should have a high school diploma, own basic tools, and be able to pass a background/ drug test. We offer benefits, growth opportunities, and training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with safe work practices and policies.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Ensure equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
