Carew Concrete & Supply Co., Inc. in Fond Du Lac, WI is seeking a Diesel Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment.

You will troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems while performing preventative maintenance and minor weld fabrication. Join a full-time role that emphasizes safety, teamwork and timely communication of repair status.

• Experienced with diesel equipment, heavy trucks or heavy machinery.
• Able to read and understand maintenance manuals, safety procedures and operating instructions.

• Willing to respond to service needs in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, axles, gearboxes, brakes, steering, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including oil and fluid changes, greasing and routine inspections.
• Weld, fabricate and repair components as needed.
• Use cutting torches, welding equipment and a variety of shop tools.
• Respond to service calls and make repairs in the field when needed.
• Work closely with equipment operators and the Shop Supervisor to diagnose problems and determine efficient repair solutions.
• Communicate repair needs, expected completion times and equipment status.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Keep the shop, tools and work areas clean, organized and safe.
• Follow all company safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot problems and keep equipment moving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
