Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our diesel-powered fleet, including mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform routine service, diagnose systems, and work with teams to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply and receive on-the-job training. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with CDL preferred for driving duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical diesel repair certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work variable shifts to support fleet operations.
• Entry-level candidates welcomed—we provide on-the-job training.
• Prior diesel mechanic or heavy equipment maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment (oil changes, lubrications, filter replacements).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and plan repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components like engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Ensure safety policies are followed in workshop and on sites.
• Keep accurate maintenance records in company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel technology and repair techniques.
