Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a full-time Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician I in Baraboo, Wisconsin. This role involves assisting Fleet Technicians in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.

Ideal candidates will receive on-the-job training with no prior experience required. Competitive pay of $25/hour based on experience with shift hours from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance.
• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions.
• Document all work performed on work orders.

Skills

Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components

Basic knowledge in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems

Basic welding and cutting skills

Basic computer skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training (2-year school preferred)
