Job summary

Summit School Services LLC is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems across a school fleet. You will perform engine work, inspections, and mobile repairs as needed, while logging all work accurately and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires at least three years in diesel/gas repair, familiarity with diagnostic equipment, and a high school diploma. CDL is preferred and ASE training support is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of light/medium/heavy-duty mechanic repair experience.
• Experience with diesel equipment required; gasoline systems a plus.
• Verifiable work history via pay stubs or W-2.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems per skill level; brakes, steering, suspension, drivetrains, electrical, cooling and fuel systems.
• Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds and test drives to verify quality repairs.
• Complete required safety inspections and sign-offs before releasing vehicles.
• Log labor hours, parts used and completed work accurately.
• Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs when needed.
• Maintain safe, organized workspace following all standards.
• Identify additional service needs and report complex issues to leadership.
