Job summary

United Engines is hiring a Diesel Field Service Technician III to diagnose and repair customer-owned equipment at various locations in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. You will perform complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on diesel generators and other oil-field equipment, both in customers’ facilities and shop settings.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, part identification, and performing load bank tests and generator commissioning to ensure equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3–7 years related experience.
• Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment and/or diesel engine repair required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to operate laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with customer equipment.
• Identify and order parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Perform complex repairs on customer equipment and replace parts as needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance per guidelines and schedules.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and timely.
• Assist junior Technicians as needed.

• Conduct load bank tests for generator capacity and performance.
• Lead generator commissioning activities and verify system installation and tests.

Overview

United Engines is Now Hiring a Diesel Field Service Technician III at 5555 W Reno, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Responsible for diagnosing problems and performing complex and/or major mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs at the customer’s place of business on customer's equipment including refractory units, coil tubing units, pumping units, and other oil field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose all problems with customer's equipment.
• Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
• Perform complex and/or major repairs on customer's equipment. Replace parts and equipment as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
• Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
• Assist lower-level Technicians in completing work assignments as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
• Conduct load bank tests to ensure generators can handle their rated capacity and perform effectively under load.
• Lead and perform generator commissioning activities, including verifying system installation, conducting performance tests, and ensuring all components function according to design specifications.

Certificates & Licenses:

• Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment and/or diesel engine repair required.
