Job summary

United Engines is hiring a Diesel Field Service Technician III to diagnose and repair heavy oilfield equipment at customer sites in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. You will perform complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, and lead commissioning and load tests on generators.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, parts identification, completing work orders, and maintaining safety and quality standards while communicating effectively with clients and team members.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; 3–7 years related field service experience.
  • Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment and/or diesel engine repair required.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems and perform complex repairs on customers' equipment.
  • Identify and order parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine and major repairs with safety and quality standards.
  • Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and on time.
  • Assist lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with procedures.
  • Conduct generator load bank tests and commissioning activities.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
