Job summary

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is growing and seeks Diesel Technicians to service on-highway, construction and agricultural equipment in Rapid City, SD. You will perform inspections, maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot issues, and travel to service calls as needed.

Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Volvo equipment knowledge is a plus. We offer competitive pay with benefits and advancement opportunities, including tool allowances and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or equivalent experience in related fields.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
• Volvo equipment experience is a plus but not required.
• Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on equipment including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Carry out repairs and more complex service to ensure proper function.
• Troubleshoot issues reported by drivers/operators and provide effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and communicate progress to supervisor and customer.
• Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records.
• Field Technicians will travel to service calls.
