Job summary

Kirby Corporation in Lodi, NJ is hiring Diesel Technicians to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems on customer equipment, including engines, drivetrains, steering, suspension and brakes. You will use diagnostic software and a laptop to guide troubleshooting and repairs.

Our maintenance-focused team values reliability and precise workmanship. Applicants need a High School Diploma or GED (or diesel tech certification), basic hand tools, and a valid driver's license (CDL a plus).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience OR technical degree and certification in a diesel repair program.
• Full set of basic hand tools including torque wrenches and toolbox.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
• Use diagnostic software and follow troubleshooting steps.
• Coordinate with parts department to identify and order parts.
• Perform mechanical repairs up to disassembly and rebuild; experience with major OEMs accepted.
• Complete work orders and time sheets detailing labor operations (Complaint, Cause, Correction).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
