Job summary

Transdev in Richland, SC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment. You will help ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity of the fleet while working on-site in Richland, SC.

The role requires diagnostic and preventive maintenance skills, valid driver's license, and a commitment to ASE certification; the company offers an hourly wage with extra pay per ASE certification earned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• ASE certifications preferred; must obtain 2 ASEs within 6 months.
• Experience with diagnostic computers and heavy equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance to Transdev standards.
• Diagnose all phases of vehicle and equipment repair; select course of action.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
• Evaluate completed work with supervisor approval when required.
• Ensure safe use of power and hand tools.
• Perform road calls and emergency services as needed.
• Move vehicles safely between job and work area.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
• Participate in safety training; pursue ASE re-certification.
