Job summary

Target Rental is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair work on customer equipment and the internal rental fleet. The role includes following Bobcat warranty requirements, maintaining a clean facility, and occasionally working in the field or at other locations.

You will focus on recovery and efficiency metrics, repair scheduling, and coordinating with Service Managers to ensure timely, quality work across both shop and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Tech Recovery: focus on minimizing time spent on repairs to improve the recovery rate.
• Efficiency Performance: aim to meet or exceed an efficiency rate goal of 100% by finishing repairs on time or faster.
• Repair & Maintenance of Internal Rental Fleet: perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the internal rental fleet.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other system issues.
• Customer Service & Communication: communicate repair progress and timelines to the team and customers.
• Safety & Compliance: follow all safety protocols and ensure repairs meet safety standards.
• Daily Service Schedule Monitoring & Communication: monitor the daily service schedule and adjust as needed.
• Facility Cleanliness: maintain a clean, organized workspace and proper disposal of waste.
• Field Work & Flexibility: perform repairs at customer locations or off-site as needed.
• Bobcat Warranty Compliance: follow Bobcat warranty requirements and document warranty repairs.
• Inventory Management: assist in maintaining inventory and track parts used.
• Training & Development: participate in ongoing training and stay updated with new tools and safety practices.
• Reporting & Documentation: maintain repair logs and report recovery and efficiency metrics.
