Preferred Materials - Concrete Division, a CRH company, is seeking a Mechanic I in Florida to operate, maintain, and test heavy equipment across job sites. You will identify parts needing replacement, place orders, and collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.

We emphasize safety, reliability, and teamwork; the role requires CDL with HazMat endorsement and strong diagnostic skills. A positive safety culture is central to daily duties and on-site training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and test mechanical equipment and machinery on job sites.
• Identify parts needing replacement and place orders as needed.
• Prioritize safety and foster teamwork on site.
• Perform road tests and road calls as required.
• Inspect and document repairs and maintain logs.
