MAN Energy Solutions USA in Long Beach, CA seeks a Workshop - 2nd Class Mechanic to repair, maintain, overhaul, and install diesel engine equipment and related systems. The role supports both workshop and field service at customer sites, shipyards, industrial facilities, and power plants.

Responsibilities include inspection, disassembly, repair, testing, and reading blueprints, plus basic machining and welding tasks.

Competenze

• Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance, repair, or manufacturing environments
• Experience with diesel engines, turbochargers, fuel systems and related mechanical equipment
• Crane operation, rigging and heavy lifting training preferred

Mansioni

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related mechanical equipment
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment and components
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using testing and measuring instruments
• Inspect parts for wear and compliance with specifications
• Perform equipment testing and verify proper operation after repairs
• Set and verify clearances, tolerances, and alignments
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, manuals, and work instructions
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy
• Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment safely
• Perform basic machine shop operations (lathe, milling) and basic SMAW welding
• Maintain service, inspection, and repair records
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures
• Support workshop and field projects domestically and internationally
• Perform other duties as assigned
