Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician in Commerce City, CO to provide hands-on service and repair for heavy trucks and engines. The role includes engine overhauls and a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility is required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Isuzu, Cummins, and/or ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, and other parts.
• Read job orders and determine malfunction to plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and tighten or adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and test repaired vehicles.
• Tag warranty parts and communicate with warranty clerk.
• Attend training and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Build positive relationships with customers to improve satisfaction.
