Job summary

Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic B in Deer Park, TX. The role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel and electric pumps, performed from a service truck at customer job sites.

You will diagnose, repair, and service equipment, read schematics, and work outdoors in variable weather. This position requires a valid license, tool ownership, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Own a selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PM schedules at active job sites and perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication from the service truck.
• Diagnose and repair cooling, electrical, and hydraulic systems on-site.
• Inspect engines, belts, hoses, and major systems for wear and leaks.
• Enter work orders and generate repair logs; assist training Field Service Mechanic C techs.
