Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join a Columbus, OH team. You will assemble large diesel and natural gas engines, using hand and power tools, torque equipment, and testing gear.

The role involves interpreting blueprints, troubleshooting, and maintaining safety in a high-volume plant. Eligible candidates will have hands-on industrial experience, the ability to follow SOPs and drawings, and pass required assessments during training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an industrial environment with hands-on work.
• Experience using mechanical tooling such as torque equipment and DC tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow written work instructions, SOPs, and blueprints.
• Ability to pass written and hands-on assessment during training.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large diesel and natural gas engines using hand and power tools.
• Utilize specialized torque equipment, pneumatic tooling, and electrical testing equipment.
• Manipulate engine components during the assembly process.
• Learn and apply technical aspects of engine assembly, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications for custom engine assemblies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols.
